He has bitten me a few times before, which I usually put my finger in his mouth and end the nursing session, however nothing is helping. I know my poor baby is teething but man it hurts. Today he actually bit me hard enough and drew blood. I fed him right before putting him to bed on the opposite breast and pumped my “injured” breast to keep from getting engorged. The milk was gross and I had to throw it out because I continued to bleed quite a bit. In the process it also looked like a blood clot came out from the bite site. My question is do I let it heal or keep pumping as I do not plan to give up so fast on nursing but don’t plan to have him feed from that side at this time. Is there anything I can put on it to help the cut heal faster. I just feel that every time I pump about 4-5 hours I will just re-open the cut. I called the advice nurse and she just told me to keep on feeding no matter what, don’t think she’s been bitten lately lol. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
